We are fully immersed in the writing process of our frozen moment personal narratives. Next week will complete the process and the unit.
Due to the academic pep rally, the plan for today had to be altered. Please note the additional information for Monday.
The following is an outlook for the week of November 2-6:
Monday-
In class, begin funnel introduction for personal narrative.
Due: Final Copy of Frozen Moment Body. In order to accomplish this, students will need to complete the peer-assessment of their frozen moment draft. Students should have all the materials need to complete this task. If they missed all or part of language arts class today (periods 2 and 3), students are expected to complete the peer assessment at home with a peer, parent, or older sibling.
3rd Period- Students will take Spelling Quiz 5 and turn in the Reading & Writing Workshop: Jenna and the Black Cat
Tuesday-
No school. (Catch up day for personal narrative writing.)
Wednesday-
In class, begin conclusion and writing final copy of personal narrative.
Due: Funnel Introduction.
Thursday-
Personal Narrative Unit Test.
Due: Personal Narrative. Students should turn in all evidence of the writing process with their personal narratives.
Friday-
Library Day & Vocab Quiz Unit 5.
Due: Vocab Unit 5 Homework.
Note: Students are given in class time to complete the personal narrative writing piece. Anything not completed in class is considered homework and expected to be ready at the beginning of class the following day. Also, the personal narrative writing piece is considered a test grade worth 100 points. Please view the scoring guide under the personal narrative unit tab for more detailed information. Students also have a paper copy of the scoring guide.
Have a safe Halloween weekend!
